Finding Light in the Darkness

Image
Sometimes life feels unbearably heavy, especially when those we love are struggling with deep pain and depression. It can leave us feeling helpless, even when we want to offer comfort and hope. But in those moments, our faith can be a beacon-not just for others, but for ourselves. A Poem of Hope and Strength In shadows deep, where sorrows lie, When tears fall silent from the sky, Remember, dear heart, you’re not alone, For God’s love shines, a steady stone. Though storms may rage and nights grow long, His grace will carry you strong. Hold fast to faith, let courage rise, For dawn will break in morning skies. Reflection Your struggles, your pain, your mental battles are not in vain. They can become a source of empathy and strength to reach out to others who suffer in silence. When you feel powerless, remember that God’s love is the true power that heals and restores. Scripture for Comfort and Strength "When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all the...

I Seek Your Embrace

Image
In the depths of despair, I found my soul crying, Seeking solace and answers, my spirit was sighing. Lord, I thought I knew you, but now I'm in doubt, For your followers turned against me, casting me out.   How do I continue to follow someone so divine, When your house of worship denies me, saying I'm not thine? I did nothing wrong, Father, I gave you my all, But now I'm left with a broken heart, feeling small.   But then I remember your love knows no bounds, Even when darkness surrounds, your grace abounds. I turn to you, Father, with my weary plea, Show me your love, so my soul can be free.   In this journey of faith, I seek your embrace, To heal the wounds inflicted, to find my place. For your love, grace, and mercy, they are real, And in them, my spirit finds solace and zeal.   For when my soul feels like it's dying inside, You breathe life into me, and my worries subside. You are the anchor that holds me steady and strong, In your presence, I find where I...

God Sent a Sparrow

Image
For weeks, the birds were silent. No chirps in the bushes, no wings overhead. I missed them — not just their songs, but the way they reminded me of my granny, of simpler days, of God’s nearness in nature.   I prayed. Not a grand prayer, just a quiet request: Lord, bring back my bird friends.   And then one came. Just one. A little visitor perched on the rail outside my window, turning his head as if to say hello. He didn’t stay long, but he returned. He chirped. He listened. He flew to the feeder. And in that moment, I knew — God had heard me.   It wasn’t a flock. It wasn’t dramatic. But it was enough. A single bird, sent in love, to remind me that I’m seen. That even in loss or loneliness, God fills the silence with something living. Something gentle. Something that feels like home.   Maybe Granny picked that bird. Maybe God whispered, She needs a reminder today. Either way, I cherish it. Because it’s the simple things — the ones that feel sma...

Embrace God's Presence

In the depths of the earth, where minerals rest, God slumbers peacefully, in a peaceful nest. For deep within the soil, His presence is found, His mighty essence, unyielding and profound. With the dawn of each day, He awakens anew, In the vibrant, verdant plants, His love shines through. From the tender shoots, to the towering trees, He breathes life into nature, with gentle ease. In the graceful flight of a bird, so free, God's spirit soars, in every winged spree. From the majestic eagle, to the humble dove, His divine touch, brings forth beauty and love. In the creatures that roam, both big and small, God's wisdom and grace, are present in them all. From the lion's roar, to the mouse's scurry, His hand guides their paths, with purpose and fury. But it is in the heart of man, that God truly resides, For in our thoughts and actions, His presence abides. With the power to reason, to create and to dream, We are vessels of His love, or so it would seem. In our kindness an...
